J2ME – Intro
J2ME/Java ME [Java (2) Micro Edition] is an advanced Java technology, developed by Sun micro systems with the help of Java Community Process Program (JCP).
JavaME is a reduced version of the Java API and Java Virtual Machine that is designed to operate within the limited resources available in the embedded computers and microcomputers. this JVM will be called as KVM [KVM- KJava (Kilobytes) Virtual Machine]
This technology is not only present in Mobile Phones but also in Pagers, PDAs & other consumer electronics devices like washing machine, Set top boxes, Car Navigation systems etc.,
J2ME is compatibility with all Java-enabled devices (Mostly in GSM phones). Blackberry, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sagem, SonyEricsson, Panasonic, HTC, Alcatel, Sharp, Siemens, BenQ- Siemens, NEC & etc.
